About God Bless Retirement

We are a family-led firm that manages the entire process of buying or selling a business for clients.

Along with supporting lower market M&A, we provide middle market deal flow and syndication support through accredited-anchored events and deal calls.

Chicotsky Fam

God Bless Retirement (GBR) began with the sale of a family business, followed by liquidation events for several family friends' businesses. GBR then expanded offerings across industries for buyers, sellers, and syndicators.

Along with mid-market M&A and syndication support, our specialty extends to support buying and selling lower mid-market businesses with under $25 million and under $10 million EBITDA.

Through certified valuation analysts, financing resources, and strategic targeting of private and public marketplaces, GBR ensures clients are supported throughout the complex buying or selling process.

GBR is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and can serve clients nationally with strategic partners for international touchpoints.

The Chicotsky family and team aim to redefine client care in business brokering.

Michaela has called many places home throughout her life - from the islands of Hawaii to the desert mirage city of Las Vegas. With worldly experience, Fort Worth is where her impact with GBR begins.

Prior to real estate and business brokering, Michaela worked as the understudy to the owner of one of the nation's largest apparel brands; hiring personnel and opening stores all over the country. Her time on the road opening and evaluating stores gave her perspective on efficiently executing tasks while managing broader objectives.

Michaela firmly believes that the key to every successful transaction is taking the time to carefully listen to her clients' needs. “It sounds so simple, but it is the most important part of our work,” she says.

Kevin Chicotsky leverages his experience in operations and project management to identify deals that benefit clients, capital partners, and community stakeholders. His career began in his family’s third-generation package store, where he developed a strong foundation in community engagement.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Business Foundations Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin, Kevin advanced his career by managing projects at Shale Exploration, LLC, where he rebuilt the company's financial records amid regulatory changes. He later co-founded Sawatch Brands, leading operations across nine states and ensuring compliance in a highly regulated logistics sector.

Kevin previously served as General Manager at MMXX Capital Partners, overseeing operations and investor relations. His strategic focus on business development is rooted in delivering community-driven value.

Blake Oliver guides entrepreneurs through the purchase or sale of their businesses, often one of the most significant transitions of their lives. Known for his dependability and communication, Blake blends modern tools such as AI-driven research with the timeless art of personal relationships, ensuring each client receives both innovation and the highest level of care.

Blake’s background spans real estate, marketing, and leadership. At Sotheby’s International Realty, he contributed to multi-million-dollar property campaigns while working with top-producing agents. He has also built a reputation as a creative communicator, building a content engine that has earned hundreds of thousands of views. Blake founded the service initiative Living with Love and held multiple executive roles at Texas Christian University, where he earned his BBA in Marketing as a Dean’s Scholar. He was a multiple-award recipient during his time with the nationally leading TCU Sales Center.

Driven by trust, persistence, and genuine connection, these values shape his approach to every client, with relationships at the core of his service.

Brandon's business brokering expertise is informed by service as an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Marketing at the TCU Neeley School of Business. Previously, he was the youngest full-time business faculty member at Johns Hopkins University and later a Clinical Assistant Professor of Integrated Marketing at New York University.

He holds four advanced degrees: Ph.D. in Communication & Information Sciences from The University of Alabama; M.S. in Management from NYU; Master of Legal Studies in Real Estate & Construction Law from the Texas A&M School of Law; and B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.

Brandon's career began in U.S. Congressional lobbying for military positions and allies, leading to a private sector role in support of U.S.-allied military technology. He entered private equity through an externship with NYU in Tel Aviv. This led to Chief Marketing Officer roles in early-stage and venture-backed companies, culminating in a decade of company building, capital fundraising, and marketing advisorships.

David has facilitated over $100 million in contracts since 2015 and leads the real estate division of God Bless Retirement.

His community service includes directing the Camp Bowie Public Improvement District (PID) of Fort Worth and serving on the board of directors for Camp Bowie Incorporated.

Prior to business and real estate brokering, David was ranked the number-one poker player in the world online (Bluff Magazine, 2008).

He received numerous high-profile invitationals and international coverage, which included Time Magazine’s article, ‘Attack of the Math Brats’.

David was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, and holds an advanced realtor certification from the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Marla leverages over two decades of courtroom and legal experience to inform strategy on liquidation and divestitures, asset distribution, business valuation, and business structuring.

With a winning record of over 100 jury cases, along with numerous evidentiary hearings and non-jury trials, Marla has a unique insight to navigate complex negotiations.

After beginning her career as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida, prosecuting a wide range of cases, she transitioned into private practice where she honed her skills in contracts, settlement agreements, and property settlements.

Marla's legal commentary has been featured on FOX News, HLN, and TruTV, where she has contributed to discussions on high-profile national legal matters. She holds a J.D. from St. Thomas Law School and a B.A. from The University of Arizona.
